Training Day

For this year’s SACR Training Day, we will be concentrating on improving our Doubles/Minor Ringing Skills.  We will be using Zoom and Ringing Room for the training sessions so you will need access to a computer or tablet to join zoom, a reasonable internet connection and a pair of headphones.  If you have not used Ringing Room at all as yet, you will have an opportunity to join a preparation session to get you started.  If you are interested in the course materials but don’t have the right equipment to participate, please let us know and we will circulate them to you.

There will be 3 levels running in parallel please select which one you would like to join:

1. Plain Hunt to Plain Bob – for those ringing rounds and/or a little plain hunting 
2. Developing Minor A – for those ringing plain bob, grandsire and looking to try touches and/or some different methods
3. Developing Minor B – for those who can treble bob hunt and looking to start ringing surprise inside or develop their surprise ringing
4. I’m willing to be a Helper 

Outline for the day

1030 – 1100 Introduction to Ringing Room (not compulsory, select if needed)

We may have more than one group running at each level depending on demand.  The format of the day will be as follows:

1100 - 1115 Welcome – ALL

After the welcome, we will move into Breakout Rooms.  You will be assigned to a Tutor and one Ringing Room Tower for the whole day in advance so please log in to your allocated Ringing Room tower before we start.  Theory & Ringing sessions will be flexible within your tower but will roughly follow:

1115 - 1145 Theory 1

1145 - 1300 Ringing Room 

1300 - 1330 Lunch Break

1330 - 1400 Theory 2 

1400 - 1500 Ringing Room
